Does your dog need clothes?

Dog Cothes

“Do I need clothes? It is debatable. The fact is that many of us do need clothing especially during the cold winter months. Whether your dog needs clothing during the winter months will depend on how warm your dog can stay based on breed, size, and age. Smaller dogs, like me, Chihuahuas, Greyhound and other terriers, may benefit from wearing a protective coat and/or dress to stay warm. Dogs that have short hair, such as poodles and older dogs and dogs with diseases will also gain comfort in cold weather. Larger dogs such as the Siberian Husky and St Bernard do not need clothes due to the fact that their fur provides enough warmth.

Mom, when buying us clothes please make sure that you buy the right size and that the fit is comfortable. At Pawkadot dog clothing we dress them all … Tea cups to Danes! As there is no standard of what a small, medium, large, or extra-large is, you should measure your dog prior to buying dog clothes. To determine the right size for your dog, measure around your dog’s neck, around the largest part of the chest, and the distance from the neck to the waist. At Pawkadot we make dog clothes to fit your furry child pawfectly. Dog clothes should be snug but not too tight. Allow for comfortable freedom of movement and it should be easy to put on and take off.
Mom at www.pawkadot.co.za you will find snug, comfy dog clothes.”
